Spectral Response of Camelina (Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz) to Different Nitrogen Fertilization Regimes under Mediterranean Conditions

چکیده
Knowledge about the spectral response of camelina under different regimes nitrogen (N) fertilization is very scarce. Therefore, 2-year open-field trials were carried out in 2021 and 2022 growing seasons with aim evaluating spring to four N by using remote (UAV) proximal (leaf-clip Dualex) sensing techniques. The tested treatments were: (i) control: no application (T0); (ii) top dressing: 60 kg ha−1 before stem elongation (T1); basal at sowing (T2); + dressing combination: (T3). Camelina seed yield use efficiency strongly affected regimes, best results obtained T2. A reduction plant development was detected 2022, probably due rise air temperatures. significant effect both season observed on photosynthetic pigments content T1 highest values 2022. oil achieved T1, while protein increased increasing N, T3. Positive correlations among several vegetation indices through UAV flights (NDVI, MRS705, FGCC) yield, as well between FGCC leaf concentration. Overall, these findings demonstrate feasibility utilizing techniques from UAVs for predicting camelina.

Effect of planting date on growth, seed yield and oil quality of camelina (Camelina sativa L. Crantz)
Camelina is one of the plants that it seed yield is highly dependent on planting date. This experiment was conducted using randomized complete blocks design with three replications in research farm of Fasa Branch, Islamic Azad University, Fasa, Iran in 2018 and 2019 cropping seasons. Planting dates at six levels; November 1, 11, 21 (autumn sowing) and February 20, March 1 and 11 (winter sowing)...

Pollination of two oil-producing plant species: Camelina (Camelina sativa L. Crantz) and pennycress (Thlaspi arvense L.) double-cropping in Germany
Camelina and pennycress are two annual oil-producing plant species that have recently gained attention as biofuel feedstock crops. Prior to commercial production, information on their breeding and pollination system is essential to ensure sustainable management. We conducted pollination experiments and observed flower visitors in an experimental double-cropping system in southern Germany. We fo...
متن کاملAntinutritive Compounds in Twelve Camelina sativa Genotypes
Camelina sativa is an oilseed crop becoming important in North America and Europe for biodiesel production. The use of Camelina flours in animal diet may be limited by antinutritive compounds. The content of glucosinolates, phytic acid, sinapine and condensed tannins was evaluated in twelve accessions of Camelina sativa. All compounds showed significant differences among genotypes. Only the con...

In Iran, more than 90% of raw materials including oils and oil seeds are provided through import. Camelina sativa L. as an oilseed crop, belongs to Brassicaceae family, has been shown in several experiments that need very little water and resistant to chilling injury than other plant oils, especially canola. This Experiment was conducted at research station of Campus of Agriculture and Natural ...
